Sea Buckthorn

This plant is known for it's berries which are high in anti-oxidants, vitamin C and A. Orangy passion fruit flavor, a bit sour but is great for making juice and healing oils and has a pleasant aroma. The leaves are narrow, long, glossy, and silvery green.  It flowers in April, the flowers are creamy yellow and pollinated by wind. The fruit is orange- red and ripens in September to October. The plant is not self-fertile, the female produces the berries, you will need a male and a female to produce the fruit.
