Hybrid Tea Roses for Mom
May 4th, 2011
This weekend we will all be thinking of Mom and just how much she means to us. Many of us, will buy our mother flowers to show our appreciation on Mother's Day. Instead of buying a bouquet of flowers that will cost you a small fortune and last perhaps a couple of weeks, why not buy mom a hybrid tea rose that she can enjoy all summer for years to come? We have a great variety of hybrid tea roses available for mom and while you're at it, why not pick up one for yourself. Here are some exciting roses that we have this year, attached is a complete list of hybrid teas available this year.
Dick Clark: This is a 2011 AARS. No two flowers are alike on this rose which is dark red in bud and opens to a cream white flower with cherry pink edges. As the flowers open, the petals begin to fade to burgundy. This rose is sure to have your neighbors stopping by your yard with its vibrant colors and large flowers with 25-30 petals.
Chrysler Imperial: This classic rose is a fan of those in search for a large red rose. The flowers on this variety are dark red and are around 5" in diameter. Chrysler Imperial has a strong damask fragrance. This variety has proven itself over and over since its introduction in the 1950s. With blooms throughout the season and long stems for cutting, this rose will certainly be appropriate for showing mom you love her.
Sterling Silver: For those looking to get away from the cliche' red rose, Sterling Silver is one that should be at the top of your list. This lavender colored beauty is another classic rose from the 1950s. It is a relatively large rose with around 20 petals and a strong sweet citrusy fragrance.
