Large shrub or small tree with rigid branches, dark green, 5-lobed leaves. Clumped or can be trained into a single trunk. Winged seeds appear rose-colored in late summer. Native to Rocky Mountains. A.K.A. Wasatch Maple.

A J. Frank Schmidt introduction. Bigtooth Maple grafted onto Sugar Maple rootstock. More vigorous than the Bigtooth Maple.

Boxelder, Flamingo

Brilliant pink new shoots that turn to green with white edges and have small winged seeds. Must be properly pruned to keep variegation from reverting back to green. Performs best in part shade.

Boxelder, Kelly's Gold

The leaves of this cheerful, golden-leaved form of the undemanding Boxelder open early in spring a vivid yellow and fade somewhat to still-bright chartreuse. Performs best with afternoon shade.

Japanese Maple, Orido Nishiki

Has a broad rounded habit. Narrowly lobed leaves are often bisected giving a lacy appearance. Stunning tri-colored (green, white and pink) spring foliage coupled with pink striped stems and bark. Needs well protected site. Part Shade to full shade.

Bright green foliage that turns golden yellow in fall. Beautiful red twigs look great in the winter. Needs well protected site. Part shade to full shade.

Silver Variegated Maple

Trees

A broadly oval habit admired for its unusual variegated foliage. Creates a striking, brilliant effect in the landscape. Individual branches may revert back to green and must be pruned out. Nees protection and should be planted in partial shade.
